Since more than 4 years I'm using a NAS200 (firmware V3.4R79) with 2 separate internal disk drives. Suddenly, yesterday, one of both was not reachable in my network. The statusinformation says the disk is not formatted (while the last 4 years it was in use). How come? And wat can I do about it to get back my data?

I have a nas200 on jac4, witch i hope to use with my IP cameras motion detection, how ever my ip camera dose not allow a directory to be set, witch means the user needs to FTP into a location it can right to.

This seamed simple to me, but i cant for the life of me see how to change the location you first login to with ftp

I've a second hand NAS200 here. But I do have little (let's say big) problem with it. It automatically shuts down itself. I've read some of the articles of jac_goudsmit and other people, recommending to customize the casing. Add additional fans. But I did all of that. I actually took of the 2 bays. Opened the covering of NAS200 and gave a dedicated fan...

Hello Jac,
is there a script for altering the idle time of the nas200? i am using Jac4 firmware
Now the idletime is set to 10 minutes and it takes about a half hour before the nas200 is in rest
i want to speed up this time

I have a friend who gives me a NAS200

I do not know where to start.

1) what firmware should I install?

2) there is a guide to install the firmware

Hello!
I am new in this forum and I need some help with my NAS200.

I have one Linksys NAS200 and I have a little problem xD

When I turn on the NAS, make 1 beep and keeps all the lights are lit.

I pressed the power button for turn off the NAS and dont response.

I tried to make a hard reset and still the same problem.

I tried to run the SetupUtility but can´t recognize the NAS, so I burned all my books and I dont have any idea how can fix this.

I read something about flash the firmware but...

Is there a tut for installing and getting everything up and running for this combo?

I am using my NAS200 primary as a way to watch movies and play games on my PS2 Slim and my setup when writing is: 2 internal hdd JBOD/LVM - Ready (Non-Journaled) + 1 external hdd (NTFS).

Since the discs are pretty much full and the transfer speed of the NAS200 is so slow, i would prefer not to have to format my external drive (2TB) since it would take forever to transfer all data.
